LIA is a nonprofit immigration law office focusing on Ottawa County Michigan and providing high-quality, low-cost immigration legal services, advocacy, and community-wide education.
The Office of Social Justice works to foster a deeper understanding of and response to the call to seek justice. They focus on several key issues for our times including refugees and immigration. The OSJ offers helpful resources and workshops to explore the issues and foster dialogue.
Based in Grand Rapids, Michigan, Treetops Collective seeks to build a welcoming community for our newest neighbors, focusing on women and girls, Treetops organizes Sister Circles, helps women build skills through their children’s clothing and gift goods business, and offers assistance and a mentoring program for refugees and immigrants.
Bethany offers refugee and immigration services, including resettlement and employment assistance. Bethany organizes refugee foster care and church partnerships, and Bethany advocates for refugees and immigrants, especially asylum seekers and separated families.
Engage Through These Organizations and Partners
The Evangelical Immigration Table is a broad coalition of evangelical organizations and leaders advocating for immigration reform consistent with Biblical values. The EIT provides resources for learning about and understanding the issues related to refugees and immigration today, including videos, personal devotional guides, information, stories, and perspectives.
This nonprofit organization seeks to support refugee children and families to gain the necessary skills for successful integration into the community They provide comprehensive educational support and youth development services, along with fostering cultural knowledge and understanding.
The Refugee and Immigrant Collaborative was made possible by a Small Grant from the Calvin Center for Christian Scholarship and a Developing Christian Perspectives grant from the Calvin College Alumni Association.
