Welcome to the Refugee and Immigration Collaborative (RIC) – a resource for educators and learners interested in refugee and immigration issues. During the academic year 2017-2018 a group of Calvin College and Seminary alumni, faculty, and students joined to learn from each other’s areas of expertise and produce helpful video resources to inform the broader conversation on immigration and refugees. We were especially concerned with understanding Biblical and Christian perspectives on these important issues for today.

Why We Care, It’s Who We Are
The Refugee and Immigration Collaborative members come from a diversity of backgrounds. Some are themselves refugees and immigrants. Others work nationally and internationally with organizations that serve displaced persons as lawyers, directors, liaisons, pastors, and advocates. Still others share their expertise in related areas such as Christian hospitality, diversity & inclusion, immigration history, communication science, and Old Testament theology. Check us out and see why we should care about refugees and immigration today!
